Call to Order
The ASUAF senate was called to order at 4:05 PM by Senate Chair Joshua Luther in the Alumni Lounge of Constitution Hall. Also Present were President Treibel, Recycling Director Ryan Good, and Senate Clerk Mari Freitag.

Approval of Minutes
173-L- Senator Molnia motioned to approve the minutes, Senator Freitag seconded. Without objection the minutes are approved.
Officer Reports
Senate Chair- Senator Joshua Luther- System governance council meeting this week, working on the Juneau trip.
President- Adrian Triebel- Looking into scholarships for ASRA. Worked on mediation program. Coalition meeting was yesterday which he participated in. He looked for face paint in the theater department for Juneau. Spoke with director Hovis to organize a dance in January with SAO. The Rise committee went over allocation of funds relating to jobs so that the positions can be applied to through the uakjobs site.
Recycling Director- Ryan Good- next week there will be a dumpster put next to Gruening for aluminum and plastic.
Other Communications to the Senate-
Rise Committee- slightly disorganized, but meetings are Wednesdays at 1:00pm.
For the Good of the Senate
This is Senator Molnia's last meeting, he had a good time and is always willing to help.
Committee Reports
Executive Committee- Senator Jennifer Chambers- Did not meet because the meeting was cancelled, a few changes should be codified for next semester.
Internal Affairs Committee- Senator Ryan Duffy- Meeting was cancelled as well.
Student Affairs Committee- Senator Jack Ewers- the event in the MBS lobby was very successful, hundreds of students voted and lots of questions were answered. Awareness was brought to what ASUAF does. The meeting was canceled.
University Relations Committee- Senator Michael Caulfield- didn't make quorum.
Public Relations Committee- Senator Sara Cunningham- meeting was canceled.
SRC Board- Senator Mari Freitag- the new SRC equipment will be installed at the latest on January 18th, the board voted to give free passes for those who were effected by the SRC facility closure in August. They also voted on funding for possible tv's on some of the machines. Next meeting will be tentatively the first Thursday of the spring semester.
RHA (Residence Hall Association)- Senator Mari Freitag- haven't met in the last few weeks, club wood was postponed to the spring semester. RHA participated in the letters to santa program last week.
Parking Services Committee- Senator Jack Ewers- all the parking stuff is due on the 30th, and he's still available for questions, comments and problems. his email is jewers1@alaska.edu.
TAB board- Senator Jennifer Chambers- met recently, authorized funding, and discussed the future of TAB regarding funding and smart classes etc. They allocated roughly $28,000 for smart classrooms. The Chancellor's cabinet will be addressing the issue as well.

Lately Sumitted Legislation
SB 173-020- Recordings- Senator Chambers moved to consider the legislation lately, Senator Duffy seconded. Without objection it was considered Lately. Senator Chambers read the legislation. Senator Chambers objected to the legislation being sent to University Relations, and motioned to expedite, Senator Duffy seconded. Without objection the bill was expedited.
SB 173-021- The One and Only... part deux- Senator Chambers moved to consider the legislation lately, Senator Duffy seconded. Without objection it was considered lately. Senator Duffy read the legislation. Senator Duffy motioned to expedite the bill, Senator Chambers seconded. Without objection the bill was expedited.
Second Reading of Legislation
SB 173-020- Recordings- Senator Caulfield moved to send it to Executive Committee, Senator Molnia seconded the motion. Senator Duffy moved to close discussion, Senator Molnia seconded. Senator Chambers motioned to amend the motion to sent it to University Relations Committee, Senator Duffy seconded. With no objection the motion was passed, and with no objection, the bill was sent to University Relation Committee.
SB 173-021- The One and Only... part deux- Senator Chambers moved to amend the Fiscal impact to read " ...up to $500 from Senate Projects", Senator Duffy Seconded. With no objection, the amendment carried. Senator Chambers moved to send the bill to Executive Committee. With no second, the motion failed. Senator Chambers motioned to amend the third enacted clause to read " ... if the GRC deems it necessary subject to approval of 2/3rds of the Senate.". Senator Duffy seconded the motion. With no objection the amendment was made. Senator Chambers called for quorum, Senators Freitag, Currey, Chambers, Luther, Molnia, Brown, Duffy, and Ewers were present. Quorum was made so the meeting progressed. Vote- All in Favor were senators Ewers, Caulfield, Currey, Molnia, Brown, and Freitag. All opposed was senator Chambers. Senator Duffy abstained. With a vote of 6-1-1, the bill passed.
