Whereas, Having projects for students is important because they create school spirit and give students a break from studing;

Whereas, It's important for the student goverment to support its students' activities;

Whereas, Club Council rarely supports Student Club projects but supports mostly Student Club events;

Whereas, ASUAF logo would look really cool on the Snowmobile;

Whereas, The Clean Snow Mobile Challenge states, "The intent of the competition is to develop a snowmobile that is acceptable for use in environmentally sensitive areas such as our National Parks or other pristine areas. The modified snowmobiles are expected to be quiet, and emit significantly less unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide than current production snowmobiles, without significantly increasing oxides of nitrogen emissions;" and

Whereas, SAE club and ASME club are working on a Zero Emissions Category for this Clean Snowmobile Challenge; now, therefore be it

Enacted, That the Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks allocate $500 to the ASME club for purcashing parts for the Clean Snowmobile Challenge
