WHEREAS, The ASUAF government recognizes the Residence Hall Association of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, hereafter known as its accepted nickname RHA, as a valuable asset in the lives of our residential students with an established infrastructure; and

WHEREAS, The ability for RHA to lobby against the policies of Residence Life Department of UAF are diminished by RHA’s reliance of Residence Life for funding; and

WHEREAS, The strength of RHA to operate autonomously would be enhanced if the funding came from an unbiased source such as ASUAF that would not only support their current activities, but also allow the Association a stronger voice in what occurs in the Residence Halls; now there be it
